At Ashley Engines Ltd, we offer a wide range of services including:
- Cylinder head pressure test
Once stripped to a bare casting, all the cylinder heads can be tested on our modern testing equipment. We can test heads hot up to 100 psi and accurately detect pressure loss down to 0.5 psi. We recommend all heads are tested prior to resurfacing and refitting.
Cylinder heads are resurfaced using precision machines. Alloy heads are fly cut using the latest P.C.D tooling. Cast iron heads are reground. Both processes will finish the head surface to the required low R.A finish required by modern engine gasket technology.
We can re-cut valves in different angles and our machine centres on the valve stem. We can re-cut valves with modern stem sizes down to 1 mm.
We re-cut valve seats using our modern Sunnen machinery. We can cut three angle seats and also alter seat dimensions to suit modified valves. We can also convert older cylinder heads to run on unleaded fuel using this process.
From just a head resurfacing through to a full rebuild, including new valve guides and resetting of valve clearances, we can do it all to the highest standards. We also can supply remanufactured heads of the shelf for dispatch next day.
